RESIGNATION OF JEAN-MARIE WIRTH FROM THE LOCAL COUNCIL

In 2005 Jean-Maire WIRTH was elected for the first time as a councillor in the local council of Steinfort. Since then he has been the leader of our local political group.
This with the exception of the years 2011-2017, during which he was mayor of the municipality. During all these years he was the driving force of our section. He was always available and we could count and rely on him.

Jean-Marie has now decided to retire from the local political scene in order to concentrate 100% on his position of great responsibility as a director of a home for the elderly.
Jean-Marie is a model team member and will be missed by our fraction. A big thank you from all of us for his commitment throughout the years. Good luck Jean-Marie.

PRESENTATION OF TWO COMMITTED MEMBERS OF OUR SECTION

Claude FEYEREISEN (46) has been a member of the Christian Social Party for 27 years. In 2011 he joined the section of Steinfort. Professionally, he has worked in the world of journalism: For 21 years, he held various positions in the editorial office of the “Luxemburger Wort”, of which he was deputy editor-in-chief for the last years. At the end of 2021 he decided to change his professional orientation. At the beginning of 2022, he joined the Parliamentary Group of the CSV, in which Claude holds the position of “Deputy parliamentary secretary”, respectively as political advisor. Thanks to his professional background, Claude has a deep knowledge of national politics. It goes without saying that he is our expert on national issues. Claude is a family man and has a particular interest in education, infrastructure, mobility and social justice.

Rafael GOMES (33) is the president of the CSV section of Steinfort since 2019. He was recently appointed member of the sports commission and of the commission for cultural affairs
of the municipality. Rafael is a passionate football fan and a family man at 100%. Moreover this, he is a very dedicated person, for whom no challenge is too is too difficult when it comes to defending his ideals. Rafael’s interests include sports, the environment and sustainable development, associative life and social cohesion. He is actively involved in the Parent Representatives of the school in Steinfort and he is the youth coordinator of the local football club.

NEW COUNCILMAN GEORGES KNEIP

Georges KNEIP (41) will succeed Jean-Marie WIRTH in the local council of Steinfort. This is due to his good score in the communal elections of 2017. We are happy to welcome Georges in our fraction in the communal council council and we are convinced that he will bring a fresh wind and new ideas. Georges is a family man, an avid cyclist and he is very interested in everything that has to do with school, Maison Relais, urban planning and future technologies. In addition to these topics, he is motivated to invest thoroughly in all the files submitted to the local council. Georges is a member of the communal school commission and will replace Jean-Marie WIRTH in the communal building commission from November onwards.
We wish Georges much success and much satisfaction in his new tasks.

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELABORATION OF THE ELECTORAL PROGRAM FOR THE PERIOD 2023-2029

We want to break new ground by adopting a participatory approach from the very beginnings.
It is important for us to know what is important to you – your priorities will also be ours.

In order to give to you the opportunity to share your ideas and and suggestions, we offer three options – you choose the ones that work best for you:

OPTION 1
On November 12th and 19th, we will be touring the villages of the municipality to meet with you and discuss any issues that are important to you -> more information on this can be found on the separate flyer and on our facebook page.

OPTION 2
We invite you to send to us your suggestions on the issues that are important to you and for our community for the next 6 years and beyond.

Join us and participate actively!
